Vin goes to Verbier Camp

Vin and his Grade 5 schoolmates took a week-long class trip to Verbier, Switzerland to attend camp at Les Elfes International, an international winter camp. Verbier! For a Grade 5 trip! They could’ve skied in Wisconsin and Grade 5 kids would be happy. But they got to go to Verbier. How crazy lucky these kids are. They were able to ski for four days, and Vin advanced to the highest skiing level there, skiing all the black runs in Verbier. His instructor even made his group ski down on one ski to build leg strength and balance. He thought that was the hardest skiing he’s ever done. Needless to say, he was very proud of himself. They also went snowshoeing, had cooking lessons, swam and played team building games. They even went on a night hike and Vin was trusted with a torch. Giving a lit torch to a 10 year old boy! How very Swiss…
