We were lucky enough to have Aunt Natalie, Uncle Jake, Eloise, Sadie and Frankie visit us in June. There is nothing nicer than having family visit you when you’ve been away from home for so long. The kids were excited to have their cousins see their house, school and town.
We went to the Rhine Falls and took a guided tour via boat. The boat took us riiiiiight up the the base of the falls, which made it rock quite a bit. Uncle Jake was a wee bit nervous! (Don’t tell him I told you!) There was also a huge snake slide that the girls loved. They had to use a rope to hike up the hill to the top of the slide and they zipped right up there several times.
Juliana was so happy to be able to bring her cousin Eloise to school with her. Eloise was very brave, attending a school in a foreign country on vacation!
We had a great time hanging back at the house and showing them around Schaffhausen. The girls had a blast with water balloons, Frankie liked splashing in the fountains, and Eloise and Sadie ran the Munot steps like pros. We are so grateful that they took the time to visit us. We had a lot of fun having the Parrillos with us in Schaffhausen, but next it was onto a road trip to Italy…
